STAR Ghana – Strengthening Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in Ghana ( www.star-ghana.org ) on behalf of its donor partners (DFID, EU, DANIDA, and USAID) is supporting VOICE GHANA to implement a 3-year Sustainability Step Change Plan.

STAR Ghana’s CSO sustainability strategy seeks to:

1. Develop influential CSOs that can bring about meaningful change and improvement in citizens’ lives;
2. Engender organisational sustainability strategies which demonstrate they can develop and implement effective long term business strategies with accountable leadership, high quality staff, sound management systems, transparent systems for decision making and implementation;
3. Move organisations to higher levels of performance and gain increasing independence from donors by diversifying funding sources including INGOs, the private sector, the public sector and others, as well as generating their own funds.

VOICE GHANA seeks to achieve the following at the end of the project:

1. Have a strong performance management system in place.
2. Increase proficiency level of Board members in governance, strategic planning and decision making.
3. Increase effective performance and capacity of staff to impact on efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
4. Have proper administrative systems, practices and procedures in place.
5. Develop and practice a 5-Year Strategic Plan, Communication Strategy, Marketing Plan and PM&E System.
6. Increase financial management and planning skills of management to expand our funding base to continue functioning as a robust and independent CSO for persons with disabilties at the grassroots level in Ghana.
